Kali Linux on Android using Linux Deploy

So far, we’ve built native images for the Samsung Chromebook, Odroid U2, Raspberry Pi, RK3306, Galaxy Note 10.1, CuBox, Efika MX, and BeagleBone Black to name a few. This however does not mean you cannot install Kali Linux in a chroot on almost any modern device that runs Android. In fact, the developers of Linux Deploy have made it extremely easy to get any number of Linux distributions installed in a chroot environment using a simple GUI builder.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Prerequisites</h3>
<ol style="text-align: left;">
<li>A device running Android 2.1 and above, rooted.</li>
<li>At least 5 GB free space on internal or external storage.</li>
<li>A fast, wireless internet connection.</li>
<li>Patience to wait for a distribution to bootstrap from the network.</li>
</ol>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Configuring Linux Deploy for Kali</h4>
There’s actually very little to be done to get Kali installed. By choosing Kali Linux in the “Distribution” tab, you’ve pretty much covered the important stuff. Optionally, you can choose your architecture, verify that the Kali mirror is correct, set your installation type and location on your Android device, etc. Generally speaking, the defaults provided by Linux Deploy are good to begin with.<br />

Building the Kali Image</h3>

Once you are happy with all the settings, hitting the “install” button will start a Kali Linux bootstrap directly from our repositories. Depending on your Internet connection speed, this process could take a while. You’ll be downloading a base install of Kali Linux (with no tools) at minimum.<br />

Starting up your chrooted Kali</h3>

This also includes the starting of services such as SSH and VNC for easier remote access. All of this is automagically done by hitting the “start” button. You should see Linux Deploy setting up your image with output similar to the following:<br />

At this stage, Linux Deploy has started a VNC and SSH server inside your chrooted Kali image. You can connect to the Kali session remotely using the IP address assigned to your Android device (in my case, 10.0.0.10).<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Logging in to your chrooted Kali</h3>
Now you can use either a SSH or VNC client to access your Kali instance. The VNC password is “changeme” and the SSH credentials are “android” for the username (configured via Linux Deploy) and “changeme” as the password.<br />

If left unchanged, Linux Deploy will automatically set an image size of around 4 GB, for a “naked” installation of Kali. If you would like to install additional Kali tools down the road, you might want to consider using a larger image size, which is configurable via the settings in Linux Deploy.<br />

We had to try a couple of VNC clients to get one to work properly. Although controlling Kali through a local VNC client isn’t the most convenient of tasks, it certainly is possible. Step to : Install and Run Backtrack On Android</h3>
First of all extract the BT5-GNOME-ARM.7z. and copy the “BT5” folder and then put in your phone’s root directory. Here mine phone is /sdcard. The root directory is different for different mobile devices.<br />

<li>Now install all the above apps Busybox, Android Terminal, Android Vnc.</li>
<li>After installing BusyBox application open it and wait until it finish loading and then click on Smart install.</li>
<li>Now open the android terminal and type the following command:</li>

sh bootbt</blockquote>
<span style="color: red;">NOTE :-</span> <span style="color: blue;">When you type su in terminal it will ask you for super user request and you have to tap on Grant.</span><br />

<li>After entering vncpasswd the terminal will ask you to enter password. Enter the desired password and hit enter.</li>

<li>The terminal emulator will creates the localhost to connect it to VNC server. Now note the localhost port marked red below. Now minimize the terminal emulator.</li>

Password : your password here which you entered in terminal (step no.6)<br />
Address : localhost<br />
Port : 5906</blockquote>

1. Search "gpedit"/ "gpedit.msc" in your computer and click on it.<br />

How to use sslstrip in kali linux

5. This is our Target OS Windows XP, by using ipconfig we got the target IP. I know you are thinking if I want to trap a unknown LAN PC then how will we find out the IP address. Well its not more difficult some Social engineering can do your job. Come to the point on sslstrip tutorial. So note down the target IP.<br />

In today’s edition of Stupid Geek Tricks (where we show off little-known tricks to impress your non-geek friends), we’ll learn how to hide data in a text file that can’t be seen by anybody else unless they know the name of the secret compartment.<br />

Here’s How it Works</h2>
Ever since Windows 2000, the NTFS file system in Windows has supported <a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa364056.aspx">Alternate Data</a> Streams, which allow you to store data “behind” a filename with the use of a stream name. It’s not detectable while browsing the file system, or anywhere within Windows… you can only access it with the “secret key” which is really just the name of the stream.<br />

You can think of these extra streams as secret compartments within the file that can only be accessed if you know the “secret code,” which in this case is just the name of the stream.<br />

This isn’t a completely secure way to hide data as we’ll illustrate below, but it’s a fun trick to know about in a pinch.<br />

Hiding Data in a Secret Compartment</h2>
In order to use this feature, you’ll have to open a command prompt and use the following syntax:<br />

You can use anything after the colon as a secret word, the key is that there can’t be any spaces between the first filename and the colon.<br />

If you didn’t specify .txt on the end, Notepad will automatically add it, and ask if you want to create a new file, even if SomeFile.txt already existed, because SecretSquirrel!.txt doesn’t already exist.<br />

Now you can enter in whatever data you want here and save the file:<br />

You can even open up the file by double-clicking on it, and add whatever data you want to make the file look normal:<br />

None of these hidden files will affect the other, or change the main file. Just remember, you have to use the command line to access the hidden data.<br />
